Hi, I’m Pablo Melchor

I’m co-founder and president of Ayuda Efectiva, a Spanish nonprofit that selects and funds the most effective charitable programs (especially those that save the most lives per dollar). We build on the work of the best independent evaluators, like GiveWell.

I do a lot of advocacy for the core ideas of effective altruism—mostly in Spanish, though I’ve been quoted in places like The Atlantic.

My first book (in Spanish) is Altruismo Racional.

I’ve pledged to give at least 10% of my lifetime income to the most effective charities.
